Chris Hyser updates his Candidacy for Maryland's 6th Congressional District, Focused on Community Empowerment and Economic Growth
FREDERICK, MD - In a bid to bring a fresh perspective and genuine representation to Maryland's 6th Congressional District, decorated Maryland State trooper and Medal of Valor recipient, Chris Hyser, is officially updating his candidacy. With an illustrious background, Chris is committed to leveraging his diverse experiences to address the unique needs of the district.
Chris Hyser's journey is nothing short of extraordinary. Serving seven tours in Iraq and three tours in Afghanistan as a contract dignitary protection agent, Chris later became a Chaplain and now dedicates his time to volunteering for various organizations in Frederick and Montgomery County. Notably, he is involved with Family Rights for Religious Freedom and Platoon 22, showcasing his dedication to community service.
A loving husband, father of four, and a proud grandfather, Chris embodies the values of family and community. Currently, Chris is actively fundraising nationwide to support job growth in the sixth district, particularly in the Biotech, Dairy, and small business sectors. His ongoing efforts include writing a grant proposal to bring additional jobs and resources to the Appalachian communities through the Appalachian Regional Commission.
"I understand the struggles our community faces, as I live paycheck to paycheck, shop within the district, and experience the impact of growing inflation with every purchase," says Chris Hyser. "I am committed to being the voice our district needs in Congress, advocating for job creation, economic stability, and addressing the diverse needs of our residents."
Chris's campaign emphasizes his centric approach and ability to connect with a broad spectrum of the community, irrespective of party affiliations, faith backgrounds, or ethnicities. With over 40 years of residency in the 6th district, Chris has an intimate understanding of the social and economic nuances from Montgomery County in the east to Garrett County in the west.
"I have walked the walk and talked the talk of district 6 for over four decades. Now, I am determined to bridge the gaps and unite our diverse community," Chris affirms.
